Elwood's new Sister was born on Sunday 12/16/2018....we don't know which of these pups will end up as his sister, but one of them will. That was an amazing day. I was there for the birth and even got to deliver one of the pups. What an experience!
At 1 week (today, Sunday) we got to visit the pups again. Bonus points because my Mom came with us so she got to meet her 'Grand-dog' (we won't know which is ours until they are probably 7 weeks old).
In between those puppy visits was final planning for our trip to Australia, working a full week, being on call during the week, and helping a friend. Pretty busy. We are blessed though, because Mom and Dad are giving up a relatively warm Christmas in Tucson to house sit for us and Elwood and Sydney get to hang out with them while we visit family in Australia.
Today was packing day and I managed to pack everything in two suitcases (1 checked bag, 1 carry-on) and we each have a small backpack for our 2 week trip so we are ready to go. We're really happy that it's Summer in Australia so we're bringing shorts, shorts, and more shorts. Ahhh!
We'll be celebrating with Ken's family on Christmas Eve then we head to the airport for our 11pm flight. We will miss Christmas entirely because we're travelling over the International Dateline and will be arriving in Sydney on the 26th - Boxing Day.
