Four years since I've updated my blog.
Hmmm.
Sure doesn't seem that long.
What's happened in those 4 years?
August 2014 we got a new Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Elwood. He's been a handful until the last year when he's finally matured. If you're on my Facebook or Instagram pages you'll have seen some of the crazy shenanigans he's gotten into.
February 2015 I lost Blu to a tragic accident.
The 2015 roller coaster ride continued in October when my Dad was diagnosed with Melanoma on his liver - a baseball sized tumor. That turned his, Mom's, and my, life upside down. I'm happy to say as I write this the tumor appears to be gone, though some side effects of the Immunotherapy treatment continue to pop up at the most unexpected times. (My thoughts on Immunotherapy treatments have gone through the ringer, but ultimately, I'm a fan.)
Fast forward to February 2018 and we lost our beloved Annie just shy of her 12th birthday. The house is pretty empty without her. That's had a lot to do with Elwood's sudden maturation I'm sure.
We're finally on the lookout for a sister for him so stay tuned. This will probably turn into more of a Hound blog than Horse blog since life has a way of changing!
